Super Bowl 2011 on turf made by Lenzing

This year the biggest single sport event in the world (some 800 million viewers worldwide) will take place on synthetic turf made by Lenzing. On Sunday February 6th Super Bowl 2011 will be played in the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The American Football turf installed in this sports arena near Dallas (completed in 2009 / capacity up to 100,000 seats / total costs of 1.2 billion USD) was made of synthetic turf yarn manufactured by Lenzing Plastics.

The 45th final of the Northamerican Football League NFL will play Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers. Super Bowl kick-off will probably occur a little after 6:30 p.m. local time Dallas/TX. In Europe live broadcasting via satellite starts round midnight.
